Father of Aragorn, King Elessar. Arathorn, son of Arador, was born in 2873. Arathorn became the fifteenth Chieftain of the Dúnedain.
Christopher Dane
Chris has worked extensively in
independent short and feature films as well as professional theatre
productions such as Mary Stuart in London's West End.
Chris shares the same Scandinavian roots as Viggo
Mortensen and is both proud and thrilled to be playing Arathorn in this
ambitious project.

Gilraen Mother of Aragorn, King Elessar. Gilraen was born in 2907. Her father was Dirhael and her mother was Ivorwen. She was known as Gilraen the Fair. Gilraen married Arathorn son of Arador in 2929.

Andrew McDonald Trained at LAMDA His work in Theatre includes The Royal Hunt of the Sun and Tartuffe at the National Theatre; The Alchemist, Julius Caesar and Columbus and the Discovery of Japan at the RSC; Don Carlos at the Crucible Sheffield and the Gielgud; Seasons at Richmond Orange Tree, Chichester Festival Theatre and Nuffield Southampton; the London productions of Heroes, The Goat, The Simple Truth, Abigail’s Party, Golden Boy, Art and Medea and productions of Outliving the Hamster, A Midsummer Nights Dream, Charleys Aunt, Walking Out, Macbeth and Travels with My Aunt. His work for TV includes Eastenders and The Bill. His work in Radio includes Don Carlos. |

Ivorwen Ivorwen is Gilraen's mother. She possesses foresight.
Philippa Hammond Philippa began her acting career with such roles as third field-mouse in "Toad of Toad Hall". Numerous ladies in waiting followed until her first lead role as the Witch in "The Lion the Witch and The Wardrobe", at the age of ten. Rather more recently Philippa gained critical acclaim in Edinburgh for her one woman show "Glimpse", and for the title role in the infamous midnight production of "Fanny Hill". She appeared in "Anamnesis" which previewed at BAFTA and worked on a series of recreations of saucy silent films. Later in 2006 she begun work on "Undone", a short film by the award-winning writer Judy Upton. |

Elgarain, having lost her mother when she was very young, asked to take her father's place when he was killed. Arathorn alone supported her decision and taught her the skills she'd need. Elgarain is a new character not created by Tolkien but inspired by his work.

Dirhaborn Dirhaborn is a skilled, vigorous young Dúnedain Ranger. He grew up with Elgarain and has always cared for her.

Amani Johara Amani trained at Mountview Academy of Dramatic Arts and Central School of Speech & Drama. She has since been involved in numerous film and television productions. Notable credits include the short film, 'Voices Inside', directed by Bernard Walton and premiered at Cannes; the acclaimed Channel 4 docudrama, 'Saddam's Tribe'; and the UK Film Council funded short film, 'Beyond', which premiered at the Edinburgh Film Festival, 2007. |

Halbarad
Teenage son of Halbaron but already highly skilled in weapons and woodlore.
Halbarad later went on to lead the grey company to Aragorn's aid during the war of the ring and carried Aragorn's standard onto Pelennor Fields where he was killed.

Elladan & Elrohir The warrior sons of Elrond with a deep hatred of orcs since they rescued their mother from torture by them. "...two tall men, neither young nor old. So much alike were they, the sons of Elrond, that few could tell them apart; dark-haired, grey-eyed, and their faces elven-fair, clad alike in bright mail beneath cloaks of silver-grey." (The Passing of the Grey Company, ROTK).

Kate Madison (Director/Producer/Asst. Writer) UK Kate made her directorial debut in July 2005 with a project called 'Into the Darkness' and has been involved in a number of other projects since then mostly with the Cambridge Filmmakers Network, filling a variety of roles including production managing, set dressing, costumer, boom operating, camera operating and production assistant. In 2006 Kate directed the trailer shoot for Born of Hope and in 2007 the short film The Horsemen. Kate is also an actor, so when not behind the camera she can often be found in front of it. |
